Worthington, John, was a schoolmaster. John Riley, of Kent County, age 67, on 24 March 1774, deposed that 55 or 56 years ago his father told him that he was going to send him to school to John Worthington, who then lived on Daniel Mulligan's land (Kent Co. Ejectment Papers: John Comegy)

Family: James Sappington, of Kent County, age 52, on 24 March 1774, deposed that about 26 years ago Thomas Morsel told him that Daniel Mulligan had settled John Worthington, and that Mulligan had married John Worthington's sister, and they having no likelihood of having children, the said Mulligan sent home to England for John Worthington, who came to MD and Mulligan gave him 100 a. of land (The depositions were found in the Kent County Ejectment Papers of John Comegys).
