Family: Benjamin Jones and his wife Elizabeth, both of Kent Co.,
for love and affection towards their friends John Redgrave and his wife
Rachel, conveyed them a tract called Chance, 200 acres, on 19 Jan 1731
Property: Later John Redgrave and his
wife Rachel of Kent Co., conv. to Benjamin Jones of said county, school
master, a moiety or half of a tract called Chance, 100 acres (KELR JS#16:214).
Career Change: On or about 21 June 1732 (date of recording) John
Redgrave and his wife Rachel, conv. to Benjamin Jones of afsd. county,
glover, a tract called Change, 100 a. (KELR JS#16:232).
Estate: Benjamin Jones, of KE Co., died
by 8 Dec 1743, when his estate was appraised by Nicholas Smith and E. Comegys,
and valued at £136.19.1. Daniel Bryan and Gideon Pearce signed as
creditors. No next of kin signed. The executor, filed the inventory on
16 June 1744 (MINV 29:445).
