Brown, James, (MSA SC5300-56),  advertised he kept an evening school at the Sign of the Indian King in Annapolis (AMG 7 Oct 1747). In July 1748 he advertised that he intended to open a writing school in the house almost opposite to Edmund Jennings (AMG 20 July 1748).
