Personal Comments and Observations:
The most controversial issue for Senator Shore during his tenure was
"fighting the abortion issue and defending the unborn for 20 years!"
He believes that his most significant contribution as a Maryland Senator
was "fighting for 12 years to get Maryland's seat belt law!" The
most memorable moment for Senator Shore was the "1990 filibuster when I
wore the same suit for eight days in the 'superbowl for life,' the eight-day
abortion filibuster."
