Born in Washington, D.C., March 24, 1931.  Attended Washington, D.C. and Montgomery County public and parochial schools; Montgomery Junior College; Washington College of Law of American University, J.D., 1954.  Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1954.

General Assembly:
Member, House of Delegates, 1963-67.  Member of Senate, 1971-74.

Private Career and Other Public Service:
Assistant State's Attorney, Montgomery County, 1959-62.  Chair, Montgomery County Ethics Commission, 1967-71.  Member and Vice-Chair, Board of Trustees of Montgomery College, 1969-71.  Member, American, Maryland, and Montgomery County Bar Associations; American Judicature Society; National Association of Defense Lawyers in Criminal Cases.  Member and Former Secretary, Rockville Kiwanis Club.
