Emergency, 92nd-94th Congresses. Co-Chair, Joint Committee on Printing,
97th and 99th Congresses; Joint Committee on the Library. Chair,
Committee on Rules and Administration, 97th-99th Congresses. Member,
Senate Judiciary, Foreign Relations, and Governmental Affairs Committees.
Maryland Civil War Heritage Commission. Member, Maryland Bar Association,
admitted 1949.
