Born in Leonardtown, January 2, 1916. Attended St. Mary's Academy; Our Lady's School; Leonard Hall; Mount St. Mary's College, Emmitsburg; University of Maryland, A.B., 1938, LL.B., 1941. Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1941. Died on December 28, 1999 in Leonardtown.

Member, House of Delegates, 1946-50. Member of Senate, 1954-58.
Chair, Tidewater Fisheries Committee.
Private Career and Other Public Service:
Served in U.S. Navy, 1941-46; achieved rank of lieutenant commander.
State's Attorney, St. Mary's County, 1951-54, 1958-61; Appointed to Maryland
Board of Parole and Probation,1961; State Assistant Attorney General, 1966-1972;
Special Attorney to Maryland State Roads Commission; Judge, St. Mary's
County Circuit Court, 1972-1986. Member, Knights of Columbus (3rd
and 4th degrees); Alhambra; American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars;
Lions Club.
