Sculpture
The state's diverse collection of sculptures, statues, portrait busts, monuments and plaster casts span from the mid-nineteenth century to the twenty-first century, and is highlighted by the work of William Henry Rinehart, Ephraim Keyser, Antonio Tobias Mendez, StudioEIS and Hans Schuler.
Plaster casts of mythological figures, heroes of the ancient world and masterpieces from the Renaissance are a unique and important part of the sculpture collection that was acquired from the Peabody Institute. Many of the sculptures and plaster casts in the collection are on display at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Maryland Institute College of Art, and the Peabody Institute.
