Thornton, John & Greene, Robert

  • A mapp of Virginia Mary-land, New Jarsey, New York & New England. By John Thornton at the sundyall in the minories and by Robert Greene at Ye. Rose and Crowne in Budg-Rowe. London.. This map is derived from the Augustine Herrman map of 1673, reoriented with north at the top and reduced in size, augmented by new data from the James Wasse survey. It appears to be the forerunner of the Thornton, Morden & Lea map of 1685. 1678-9. MSA SC 1399-1-707 [HFC 178T5]
