Born in Brooklyn, New York, April 21, 1932. Attended Erasmus Hall High School, Brooklyn, New York, 1950. Served in U.S. Army in Europe (tank commander), 1951-53. University of Maryland, College Park, B.A., 1957. Political reporter, Baltimore News Post, 1957-61. Past president, American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (chair, model nonresident violator compact advisory group, 1977). Widower; five children, eighteen grandchildren. Died in Glen Burnie, Maryland, August 8, 2006.
