Beginning June 2nd, the Archives will return to its reduced summer staffing levels on Saturdays. Depending on demand, this may mean that records are not retrieved from the stacks as often as they are on weekdays.
Records needed for legal purposes will be given head-of-the-line priority for retrieval from the stacks on Saturdays. Priority documents are those needed for purposes such as social security, drivers license renewal, pension, VA benefits, passport applications, beneficiary verification, and expungement.
Please note that many modern court records and some genealogical records are stored off-site and must be retrieved prior to the day of your visit. Records located off-site must be requested seven to ten business days before your visit by emailing us at email@example.com using “Saturday Retrieval” as your subject heading.
As always, the Archives’ goal is to provide excellent service while assisting you with your records and research needs. Please help us by requesting records in advance of your Saturday visit at firstname.lastname@example.org,
Wishing you a safe and productive Summer! We thank you for your continuing patronage and support.
