Tapping Technology

Editors Note

Every winter, many graduating highschool students begin to consider their options for college. They look at the majors available, the courses offered, the school environment, the location of the school, sports, extracurricular activities, etc. However, for students with disabilities, not only are they thinking about the former, but they must also consider such issues as universal design, both for learning and accessibility, and disability support services. Because of this, I have decided to focus this issue of "Tapping Technology" on Assistive Technology in Higher Education. Although the articles and chart pertain only to Maryland schools, the issues and concerns remain the same throughout the country.

I hope this information proves insightful and helpful. If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me at: editor@mdtap.org

Thank you,
