    EASI is dedicated to providing the latest information and resources on improving K-16 access to technology in education for students with disabilities or in special education. Utilizing distance learning online courses and workshops, discussion listservs, a scholarly journal and a websi full of resources on Adaptive & Assistive Technology, hardware, software and best practices in K-12 education, EASI has developed a complete resource and collaborative effort towards increasing the success of educational technolog for students with disabilities. As an affiliate of the American Association Higher Learning and with Grants from the National Science Foundation EASI ha been providing parents and educators high quality current information within their realm for the last 12 years. With a current thrust on increasing acces to science & math learning, EASI recently devloped a wide set of resources on their website in this area. We hope you visit and let us know what you think and what we can add to better meet your needs!

    What is NAPSEC?

    The National Association of Private Schools for Exceptional Children (NAPSEC) represents 300 private special education schools nationally and over 600 at the State level through its Council of Affliated Associations (CASA). NAPSEC schools serve both publicly and privately placed children through adults with disabilities who require individualized education and therapeutic services.

    T'he Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) has joined forces with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in creating a web site that opens a window to the exciting world of outdoors in Maryland for children with disabilities. The site is entitled "My DNR and is located at www.dnr.state.md.us/mydnr.

    Youth who log on the site can participate in a scavenger hunt, win prizes, find where individuals with disabilities can go fishing, reserve a campsite, and much more.

    While the web site was developed with children in mind, individuals with disabilities can explore accessible facilities including campsites, cabins, beaches, picnic areas, fishing piers, visitor centers, hiking trails and boat launches.
