A New Product for Computer Speech Users now Available

LP-Windows is now available with high quality speech output for visually impaired computer users. All the familiar magnification capabilities are retained. Nine easy to use keystrokes and several automatic features are added for control of speech. The development emphasis of LP-Windows with Speech continues to be ease of use.

For instance: LPW/S can be set to automatically speak:

characters and/or words as you type,
window titles,
menus and highlights,
buttons and checkboxes,
groupboxes,
edit boxes,
tool tips,
multi-line tips and
button, menu and menu underline shortcuts.

Among the convenient keystrokes are :

Point at any place in a document in MS Word, and then strike LSHIFT+SPACE, the text will be read to its end. Scrolling will take place automatically. LSHIFT+SPACE will let you stop and restart that reading as you go.

If you highlight a block of text and point to it, striking LSHIFT+LCTRL will cause that block, and only that block, to be spoken.

Other features are:

If you point at a word it will be said.

When reading with on screen magnification, the spoken word may be highlighted by inverting its color, or underlined, at your option.

Different speaking speeds can be set for typing, menus and captions, text reading and review, and automatic dialog reading.

LP-Windows with Speech runs under W95 or W98 on a Pentium host with CD-ROM drive and SoundBlaster 16 compatible sound card

LP-Windows with Speech is priced at $595.00.

Demo versions, with a 20 minute timeout, are available on CD upon request. For more information, contact:
