John Bullen

Biography:

Died in Annapolis, November 18, 1798.

Common Councilman, Annapolis, elected 1766. Alderman, Annapolis, elected 1779. Justice of the Peace, Anne Arundel County, circa 1779. Mayor of Annapolis, 1781-82, 88-89, 92-93, 96-97. Captain in the Maryland Milita during the Revolutionary War. There are numerous receipts to  John Bullen, Quartermaster, in the MARYLAND STATE PAPERS (Series A) and the proceedings of the State Council and the Council of Safety. He also had an interest in racehorses, owning at least two in 1767.
