Biography:

Born Howard Price Spedden, May 10, 1872, in Dorchester County, Maryland.  Son of Thomas E. and Susan (Frazier) Spedden.  Married to Minnie E. Applegarth; one daughter, Anita.  Died May 5, 1933, in Cambridge, Maryland.  Buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Cambridge, Maryland.

Merchant and legislator. Member, Maryland State Senate, Dorchester County, 1927-30 (R). Member and former president, Dorchester County Board of County Commissioners, c. 1919-25 (dates of presidency unknown). Member, the Building Committee of the Hudson School, as established by 1918 Laws of Maryland Chapter 301. Owner, T.E. Spedden & Sons, a canning business based in James, Maryland.
