ELEVENTH GENERATION

1612. Mareen Duvall (138) died about Aug 5 1694 in Middle Plantation, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. He was born in France. Mareen Duvall was born in France and arrived in Maryland as an indentured servant in 1652 or 1653. There has been much speculation as to his origins but nothing is known for sure.

On Jul 25 1659, having finished his indenture he applied for his headright of fifty acres. He quickly acquired more land and in 1664, as "Marin Dewall Carpenter" he applied for a patent on 600 acres in Arundel County known as Middle Plantation. A carpenter at that time was what today we would call an architect and builder. He would live at Middle Plantation the rest of his life, although he would never quit acquiring land.

By the end of his life he was one of the richest planters in Anne Arundel County. Among his personal estate was clothes appraised at over eighteen pounds and 182 ounces of silver plate. His will runs to many pages. He was married. Children were:

child806 i. Captain John Duvall.

child iv. Samuel Duvall(138) was born in 1667.
