(380) March Court Anno Domini 1747 Detaining that Debt whereof the said John Macdonald is Convict &C.a and that he shoud have then and there that writt &Ca And now here at this day to wit the second Tuesday in March afs.d ^the sheriff afs.d^ Returns to the Court here the writ afs.d thus Indorsed Vizt Cepi Corpus Sat.d Plf Tho.s Hungerford She.r It was Commanded the sheriff that he should take Wm Clements Junior late of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe Keep so that he should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in March Next to satisfie unto Eliz.a Tarvin Executrix of the Testament and last will of Richard Tarvin late of Charles County Deceased as well the Sum of Three Thousand and fifteen Pounds of Tobacco to the said Eliz.a Ex.x afs.d in the Court of the said Lord Proprietary before the Justices of Charles County afs.d was adjudged for her Damages which she had by occasion of a Certain Promise and Assumption to the said Elizabeth Executrix aforesaid at Charles County afs.d made and unperformed as also Three Hundred and seventy six Pounds of Tobacco which to the same Eliz.a Exx afs.d of her assent were adjudged for her Costs and Charges by him about her suit in this Part laid out and Expended whereof the said William is Convict ^&Ca^ and that he should have then and there that writt &Ca And now here at this day to wit the second Tuesday in March afs.d the sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court here the writt afs.d thus Indorsed Viz.t Cepi sat.d the Plf Thomas Hungerford she It was Commanded the sheriff that he should take Richard Smith late of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe keep so that you have his body before the Justices of the Lord Propr.y of his Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town on the second Tuesday in March Next to satisfie unto Samuel Hanson Jun.r as well the sum of Two Thousand and Ninety Three pounds of Tobacco to the said Samuel in the Court of the said Lord Proprietary before the Justices afs.d at Cha.s County afs.d was adjudged for his Damages which he had by occasion of a Certain Promise and Assumption to the said Samuel at Charles County afs.d made and unperformed as also Three Hundred and five Pounds of Tobacco which to the same Samuel of his assent were adjudged for his Costs and Charges by him about his suit in this part laid out and Expended whereof the said Richard is Convict &C.a and that he should have then and there that writt &Ca And now here at this day to wit the second Tuesday in March afs.d the sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court here the writt afs.d this Indorsed Vizt Cepi Corpus Sat.d the Plf Thomas Hungerford she It was Commanded the sheriff that he should take Joseph Nally late of Charles County Planter otherwise Called Joseph Nally of Charles County if &C.a and him safe Keep so that he should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in March Next to satisfy unto Mess.rs Stephenson and Steel as well the sum of Three Thousand Two Hundred and fifty four Pounds of Tobacco a Certain Debt which the same Mess.rs Stephenson & Steel in the Court of the said Lord Proprietary before the Justices at Charles County afs.d Recovered against the said Joseph nally as also Two Hundred and Eighty one Pounds of Tobacco which to the same Mess.rs Stephenson & Steel by Discretion of our Justices afs.d of their assent were adjudged for their Damages which they had by occasion of detaining that debt whereof the said Joseph Nally is Convict &Ca and that he should have then and there that writt &Ca And now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in March afs.d the sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court here the Writt afs.d thus Indorsed Viz.t Cepi Corpus Sat.d the Plf Thomas Hungerford She |
