Judgment p Cognovit Actionem

Charles County ss.t     Thomas Angleby late of Charles County Brick Layer was
                                  attached to answer unto Samuel Hanson Junr of a plea of Trespass
                                  upon the Case & sot forth

    And Whereupon the said Samuel by Jeremiah Chase his attorney Complains
for that whereas the said Thomas on the Twenty Ninth day of October In the year of our Lord
one Thousand Seven Hundred and forty Seven at Charles County afs.d was Indebted
unto the said Samuel In the Sum of one Thousand Six Hundred and forty four pounds of Tob.o
for divers particulars lying properly in account as by a particular account thereof herewith
into Court brought may appear and the said Thomas being so thereof Indebted in Consideration
thereof afterwards to wit the day and year afs.d in the County afs.d upon himself assumed & to
the same Samuel then and there faithfully Promised that he the said Thomas the said sum of
one Thousand Six Hundred and forty four pounds of Tobacco to the said Samuel would well &
truly Content and pay when thereunto afterwards he should be requested  Nevertheless
the said Thomas his Promise and Assumption afs.d in form afs.d made not in the least Regarding
but minding and fraudulently Intending him the said samuel in this part craftily and
subtilly to deceive and defraud the said Thomas the said sum of one Thousand Six Hundred
and forty four pounds of Tobacco or any part thereof to the said Samuel hath not paid or in any
sort Contented altho' so to do the said Thomas was on the Thirtieth day of October In the year
of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and forty seven & often before and since at Charles
County afs.d by the said Samuel Requested but the said Thomas as the said Sum of one Thousand
six Hundred and forty four pounds of Tobacco or any Part thereof to the said Samuel to pay
or in any sort to Content hath hither to altogether Refused and Stil doth Refuse to the Damage
of the said Samuel Three Thousand Two hundred and Eighty Eight Pounds of Tobacco and
therefore he brings suit &Ca                                                                                 John Doe
