24) March Court Anno Domini 1746 Therefore it is Considered that the said Anne Williams be fined one shilling Capr Currency for her offence aforesaid by the Court here adjudged and that she the said Anne Williams be taken &Ca Whereupon into Court here in his Proper person Comes Jeremiah Chase of Charles County Gentleman and becomes Pledge and Security for the said Anne Williams to pay the fine aforesaid and the several fees arisen due to the officers and Ministers of the Court hereby Occasion of the Premises
Be it Remembered that heretofore to wit the Second Tuesday in November last by the Oath of Jurors Namely &C.a was resented Jane Freeman for a breach of the peace on the body of Anne Williams And Now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in March aforesaid the afs.d Jane Freeman in Custody of the Sheriff & Namely Samuel Hanson Junior Gentleman to the Bar here brought in her proper person Comes It being Demanded of her wether she be Guilty of the Matter by the Proprietary Humbly submits herself to the Court Therefore it is Considered that she Cap Jane Freeman be fined Two shillings and six pence Currency for her offence aforesaid by the court here adjudged and that she the said Jane Freeman be taken &Ca Whereupon into Court here in is Proper Person Comes James Freeman of Charles County Innholder and becomes Pledge and Security for the said Jane Freeman to pay the fine afs.d and the several fees arisen due to the officers and Ministers of the Court here by occasion of the Premises
Charles County ss.t Charles Philpott late of Charles County Planter was attached to answer unto Joseph Noble Jun.r of a plea of Trespass upon the Case And Whereupon the said Joseph by Jeremiah Chase his Attorney Complains for that whereas the said Charles on the fifteenth day of June In the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and forty five at Charles County afs.d was Indebted unto the said Joseph In the Sum of five pounds Nineteen shillings and Eight Pence Currency for divers Particulars lying properly in [illegible] a Particular account thereof herewith into Court brought may appear and the said Charles being so thereof Indebted in Consideration thereof afores.d (to wit) |
