(174) November Court Anno Domini 1747 Regratings forestallings and Extortions whatsoever and of and all manner of misfeazances in the County afs.d done or Perpetrated against his said Lordships Place & Dignity and the Laws of this Province found the following Presentments Vizt We do Present M.r Charles Neal for allowing of his slaves to Carry Guns on the sabbath day Presentment Quashed Richard Marshall foreman We also Present Sarah Capeshaw for Bearing a bace born Child by information of John Clark Richard Marshall foreman We also Present mary Castil for having a Base born Child by information of of Barton Stone Richard Marshall foreman We also Present Negroe Toney a slave of John Hanson a p.t for feloniously stealing a a key the Property of Corn.s Sandford By information of James Turner Bartholomew Hatton Richard Marshall foreman We ^do^ also Present Achellis Ward for an assault on the Body of Robert Haislip By information of the said Haislip Richard Marshall foreman We also Present Nicholas Murphy for Begetting a Bace born Child on the body of Mary Siliven by information Richard marshall foreman Whereupon they are Discharged and allowed five Hundred Pounds of Tobacco The Clerk orderd to Issue Processional Presentments found this Court His Lordships Commission of the peace being produced was Openly Read in the following Words to wit Maryland ss.t Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &C.a To Benjamin Tasker George Plater Edmund Jenings Charles Hammond Samuel Chamberlaine Philip Thomas Daniel Dulany Edward Lloyd Benjamin Young Benjamin Tasker Jun.r and Richard Lee Esq.r Robert Hanson Gustavus Brown Thomas Stone Allen Davies Samuel Hanson William Middleton William Eilbeck Richard Harrison William Penn Walter Hanson John Winter Robert Yates Arthur Lee and Samuel Hawkins of Charles County Gentleman Greeting Know ye that we have assigned you and every of you jointly & severally our Justices to keep our Peace within our County of Charles and to Equal Law and Right to all the Kings Subjects Rich and poor according to the Laws Customs and Directions of the acts of assembly of this Provinces of both as they provide and where they are silent according to the Laws Statues (&) |
