  Judgment p Cognovit Actionem

Charles County ss.t  Aaron Nally late of Charles County Planter was attached to Impower
                               unto Samuel Hanson High sheriff of Charles County afs.d of a Plea
                               of Trespass upon the Case and so forth

And Whereupon the same Samuel by Jeremiah Chase his attorney complains
that whereas the said Aaron Nally the Tenth day of may in the year of our Lord one Thousand
Seven Hundred and forty Seven at Charles County aforesaid was Indebted to the said
Samuel Hanson In the sum of Two Thousand one Hundred and Ninety Eight pounds of
Tobacco for divers particulars lying properly in an account as by the Portion to ^account^ thereof herew.th
into Court brought may appear and being so thereof Indebted the said Aaron in Consideration
thereof afterwards to wit the day and year afs.d at the County afs.d upon himself assumed & to the
said Samuel then and there faithfully Promised that he the afs.d Aaron the afs.d sum of Two
Thousand One Hundred and Ninety Eight pounds of Tobacco to the said Samuel when
thereupon afterwards he should be requested well and truly would Content and Pay
Nevertheless the said Aaron Nally his Promise and Assumption afs.d not Regarding
but minding and fraudulently Intending the said Samuel Hanson in this Part craftily
and subtilly to deceive and defraud the said Aaron the said sum of Two thousand one
Hundred and Ninety Eight Pounds of Tobacco or any part thereof to the same Samuel
hath not paid nor here for the same in any sort Contented altho the said Aaron Nally
afterwards to wit the first day of July in the year and at the County afs.d and often
since by the same Samuel hath been thereunto requested but the same to him hitherto
to Pay or him for the same in any sort to Content the said Aaron Nally hath altogether
Refused and still doth Refuse to the damage of the said samuel Hanson Four
Thousand Three Hundred and Ninety Six pounds of Tobacco and therefore he
