(145 It was Commanded the Sheriff that he should take William Bryan late of Charles County Brick Layer if &C.a and him safe Keep so that you have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town on the second in August Next to satisfie unto Edward Trafford Esqr as well the sum of Nineteen Hundred and Fifty Two Pounds of Tobacco which to the said Edward in the Court of the said Lord Proprietary before the Justices afs.d were adjudged for his Damages which he had by occasion of a Certain Promise and Assumption the said Edward made & unperformed also Three Hundred and Nine pounds of Tobacco by the said [illegible] at Charles County afs.d which to the same Edward of his assent Charges by him about his suit for this part laid out and Expended was adjudged for his [illegible] whereof the said Henry is Convict and that he should have then and there that Writt &C.a And now here at this day to wit the second in August afs.d the sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court here the Writt afs.d thus indorsed Vizt Cepi superseeded S Hanson she And with the Writt afs.d he Returns the following supersedeas Vizt Charles County ss.t You William Bryan Thomas Douglass and George Godfrey do Confess Judgment to Edward Trafford Esq.r for the Sum of Nineteen Hundred and fifty Two Pounds of Tobacco Damage and Three Hundred and Nine Pounds of Tobacco Costs which sum was Recovered by the said Edward Trafford Esq.r on the Eleventh day of June Instant in Charles County Court the said Nineteen Hundred and Fifty Two Pounds of Tobacco Damage and Three Hundred and Nine Pounds of Tobacco Costs to be Levied of your Bodies Goods or Chattles Lands or Tenements for the use of the said Edward Trafford in Case the said William Bryan shall not Pay and satisfie to the said Edward Trafford the said Nineteen Hundred Fifty Two Pounds of Tobacco Damage and Three Hundred and Nine Pounds of Tobacco Costs so as afores.d Recovered against him with the additional Costs thereon on the Tenth day of Feby Next Confessed before us the 29.th day of June 1747 Robert Hanson S Hanson It was commanded the sheriff that he should take Edward Sanders Tho.s Sanders and John Macpherson late of Charles County Planters if &C.a and him safe keep so that you have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be holden at Charles Town on the second Tuesday in August Next to satisfie unto Joseph Noble as well the sum of Three Pounds Seventeen Shillings and Ten pence Currency which to the said Joseph in the Court of the said Lord Proprietary before the Justices aforesaid were adjudged for his Damages which he had by occasion of a Certain Promise and Assumption to the said Joseph by the s.d Edwd Thomas & Jn.o at Charles County aforesaid (made) |
