then Lived on Called and Known by the name of Come by Chance at which stump have now Set up a Ceder post marked with Sixteen Notches
which Stump is on the south side of Southern branch about twenty yards from the said branch and further this deponant saith not taken by us

                                              The deposition of Samuel Jackson aged fifty nine years being Sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty
God deposeth and saith that about twenty years ago he was employed by one Francis Bordman to rive and draw Some boards and the said
Francis Bordman (now deceast) brought this deponant to the tree mentioned in the deposition of George Baly and in working ^of^ the said
tree into bords his deponant discovered that it formerly had been marked as appeared to this deponant to have been a marked tree on which
this deponant spoke to the said Bordman about it and the said Bordman agreed with hi in his oppinion but said that he Knew
Nothing that it was one and further saith not                                                                                             Samuel Jackson

                            By Virtue of the above Commission directed to us the Subscribers we do hereby Certify that on the twenty fifth day of
August one thousand seven hundred and forty we met on the above said Land ^Called^ Come by Chance and then and there did take the deposition of
George Baly and Samuel Jackson as above appears given under our hands and seals the day and year above Written

Somerset ss     Charles absolute Lord and Proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and
Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &.c  To Robert Jenckins Henry John Henry Joshua Caldwell and James
Nairne all of Somerset County Gent Greeting know ye that we have appointed you or any three or
        two of you to be our Commissioners to Examine Evidences on behalf of a Certain Robert Taylor of the County afd
       in Relation to the bounds of a tract of Land Called Dublin we therefore require you or any three or two
       of you at some time and place as to you or any three or two of you shall seem Convenient you meet on the
       af.d Land Called Dublin (you first haveing taken your Oaths on the holy Evangelist of almighty
       God According to Act of assembly in such case made and provided) and there Cause to Come before
       you or any three or two of you all such evidences as shall be to you or any three or two of you nominated
      by the said Complainant or deft if any and that you or any three or two of you Examine them
       upon their Corporall Oaths to be by you or any three or two of you Administred on the holy
       Evangelist of Almighty God in the presence of the Complainant or deft if any touching the truth or
       Remembrance of their knowledge or any thing that may relate to the Cause af.d and that reducing
       the severall depositions into writing you send the same together with this our Commission under your or
       any three or two of your hands and seals to Us to our County Court of Somerset with all Convenient speed
