33 pleased to take it into your Considerations and set her tax free and your Petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray The Petition af.d being Read and heard and fully understood it is Considered by the Justices here that the af.d Sarah Davis be discharged from paying of taxes for the af.d Negro woman Sue for the future as by the Petition af.d is praid &.a
day of July Last the said apprentice to serve his said Master the full term aforesaid during which term the said apprentice his said Master well and faithfully he shall serve his secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and Honestly every where willingly he shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfully apprentice shall demean himselfe towards his said Master and all his during the term aforesaid &a In consideration of which service ^the said^ Isaac Holland present here in Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the SAme Court in Court Judicially sitting in manner and form following that is to say that he the said Isaac Holland dureing the term aforesaid shall and will Learn his said apprentice to Read well in the bible and the Trade of a Cordwainer and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a new Suit of Cloaths Over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term aforesaid &c Whereupon the said Isaac Holland is Ordered to give security for to Comply with the Covenants aforesaid Thereupon the said Isaac Holland with Nathaniel Roach and William Wharton of Somerset County planters his Securitys all present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said Francis Dear in Twenty pounds Current money of Maryland of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements severally to be made and Levied to the Use of the said Furnis Dear his heirs or assigns If it happen that the said Isaac Holland doe not during the term aforesaid Learn his said apprentice to Read well in the bible and the Trade of a Cordwainer and at the Expiration of his servitude doe not give him a new suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and doe not provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and cloathing sufficient for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term afd &a
