Court of Somerset to be held at deviding Creek in the same County
the third tuesday of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred
and thirty seven to answer unto John Bishop the son of Henry
Bishop of a plea that he render unto him one hundred pounds
Currt money of Maryland of the said province which to him
he owes and unjustly detains &.a  And the same day is given to the same
John Bishop here &.a  and hereupon the said John Bishop declared against the
aforesaid Donnock Dennis in the plea aforesaid in form following
Somerset County ss  Donnock Dennis late of Somerset County in the province of Maryland
planter al.s dict Donick Denis Junior of Somerset and province abovesaid planter
was summoned to answer unto John Bishop the son of Henry Bishop of a plea
that he render unto him one hundred pounds Currt money of the said Province
which to him he owes and unjustly detains &.a

And Whereupon the said John by Francis Allen his attorney saith
that whereas the said Donnock the nineteenth day of January Anno Dom
seventeen hundred and thirty three at the County of Somerset af.d within the
Jurisdiction of this Court by his certain writing obligatory which the said John with
the seal of the said Donnock signed hereinto Court brings the date whereof is the
same day and year did acknowledge himself to be bound unto the said John in
the af.d one hundred pounds to be paid unto the said John when he should be
thereunto requested yett the said Donnock tho' often required the said one
hundred pounds to the said John hath not rendred but the same to him heitherto
hitherto to render hath denyed and still doth deny and unjustly detaine to the
damage of the said John of fifteen pounds Currt money af.d and thereupon
he brings suit &.a                                          Pledges &a J: Doe & R Roe

Att which day here before His Lordships Justices at a Court then
held at deviding Creek Came the af.d John Bishop by his attorney
