218 be found to be true the said Robert then and there falsly maliciously and vexatiously did cause and procure divers evidences against the said Peter upon their Corporall oaths to them by the Justices af.d duely administred to the af.d Jurors to be sworn (the same Justices then and there having full power the oaths af.d to the same evidences to administer Whereupon the same Jurors so as af.d charged and sworne to enquire for the said Lord proprietary and the body of the County af.d well knowing and perceiving the whole matter in the same bill contained was false and by the same Robert without any probably cause falsly and maliciously against the said Peter devised and that no such offence ever was Committed by the af.d Peter then and there sayed upon their oath before the same Justices that they of the matter in the same bill of Indictment contained were altogether Ignorant by pretext of which premisses the same Peter is greatly vexed and Injured and into Infamy and contempt is brought and also great sums of money and tobacco in and about the manifestation of his Innocency and defence of himself in the premisses to expend was obliged and Compelled to the damage of the said Peter ^Taylor^ seven thousand pounds of tobacco and thereupon he bringeth suit Pledges &.a J: Doe & R: Roe And the af.d Robert Collier by his attorney af.d Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &a and prayeth Leave thereof to Imparle here untill the third tuesday of November then next following and he hath it and the same day is given to the af.d Peter Taylor here also &.a Att which day here before his Lordships Justices at deviding Creek Came againe as well the af.d Peter Taylor as the af.d Robert Collier by their attorneys af.d and whereupon the same Robert Collier prayeth Leave thereof to Imparle here untill third tuesday of March then next following and he hath it and the same day is given to the af.d Peter Taylor here also &a Att which day here before his Lordships Justices at deviding Creek Came againe as well the af.d Peter Taylor as the af.d Robert Collier by their attorneys and Whereupon the same Robert Collier as before defends the force and Injury when &.a And saith that he he is not Guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as the af.d Peter Taylor above against him hath complained and of ^this^ he puteth himself upon the Countrey &a and the af.d Peter Taylor in like manner |
