187 assembly in that case made witness my hand day and year above written {Jam.s Martin The execution of the within Commission appears by a certain schedule hereunto annexed Em Hough Abraham Outten Ed Rownd Sommerset County ss.t By Vertue of a Commission to us directed Bareing date the 24.th day of June 1737 to examine evidences In relation to the bounds of a tract of Land Called Parkers adventure belonging to a Certain Samuel Parker in the County af.d lying in askiming Consent Indian town we the subscribers being Quallifyed have appointed a day as the Law directs and have mett on the said Land and Caused to come before us this 2.d day of november 1737 Mathew Rayn aged sixty one years of age or thereabouts being sworn on the holy evangelist of almighty God (saith) that John Parker the father of Sam: Parker told him the deponant that the Live oak stood in a Glade near Chopticoe Hill in the af.d Indian Town was the first bounder of Parkers Adventure but since the af.d Parker telling him the deponant the af.d Live oak hath been blowed down so that there is nothing standing but the stump with three notches on three sides and that the deponant to the best of his knowledge Really believes it to be the very tree and further saith not this deposition taken before us the day and year above Em Hough Abraham Outten Ed Rownd Ordered that ^Capt^ Scott and Capt John Henry agree with some person or persons for the making such repairations as they Shall think proper to the prison at the Court house at dividing Creek and he or they to be allowed for the Same At the Laying of the County Levey next November Court &a Ordered that John Scarbrough David Murray and Abraham Owten of Somerset County Gent Recover against Donnock Dennis One hundred and Twenty pounds of tobacco Each for their attendance four days Each ^as Evidences^ for his Lordship against the said Donnock Dennis they having made oath to the Same &a |
