County af.d to answer unto Ezekiel Wise of a plea wherefore whereas the said Adam on the twenty eighth day of May Anno Dom seventeen hundred thirty and six at the County af.d was and still is a Taylor and whereas the said Adam on Consideration that he the said Ezekiel then and there did assume to pay to the said Adam as much as he should reasonably deserve for making a fly Coat and did then and there deliver to the said Adam as Cloath and triming for the said Coat four yards and one half yard of Kersey of the value of twelve shillings and six pence Curr.t money of maryland each yard and four yards of shalloon of the value of three shillings and six pence of like money each yard and two dosen of Coat Buttons of the value of one shilling and ten pence half penny of like money each dosen and one dosen of small buttons of the value of one shilling of like money and one hank of silk of the value of one shilling and three pence of like money and two sticks of mohair of the value value of six pence like money each stick and one yard of Course linen of the value of one shilling and eight pence of like money upon himself did assume and to the said Ezekiel on the day and year af.d at the County af.d faithfully promise that he the said Adam the af.d fly Coat of the matterials af.d for the said Ezekiel would well and in workman like manner for the said Ezekiel make and the same so as af.d made would deliver to the said Ezekiel on or before the last day of June then next ensuing and altho' the said Ezekiel hath always been ready to pay to the said Adam as much as he should reasonably deserve for making the Coat af.d Nevertheless the said Adam his promise and assumption af.d in form af.d not regarding but minding and fraudulently intending the said Adam in that part craftilly and subtilly to deceive and defraud the af.d fly Coat for the said Ezekiel on or before the af.d day and year last mentioned did not make and to the said Ezekiel deliver but the matterials af.d to witt the Kersey shalloon buttons mohair silk and linen af.d in his hands and possession so long after the day and year last mentioned did keep and detain that the Kersey shalloon buttons mohair silk and linen af.d so eaten with the |
