56 State of Maryland Talbot County to wit: I hereby certify that Philip Mackey Came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black man who calls himself James and who is now about 27 y.rs of age 5 feet 6 inches & an half high dark complection a large scar on the right forearm is the identical Person named in a manumission from Philip Mackey to sundry negroes to be free on the first day of January 1803 & that the said black man James was raised in the county & state afs.d where the manumission was recorded In Testimony &a this 29 March 1810 JLoockerman Cl State of Maryland Talbot county to wit I hereby certify all persons whom it doth or may concern that Doctr John Trippe of Talbot County came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black negro man about thirty two years of age five feet four inches high with a large mark of a burn on his right arm and scar on his upper lip was raised in Dorchester County is the identical negro manumitted by M.rs Elizabeth Heron in Talbot County the 26.th February 1803 In witness &a this 9 May 1810 JLoockerman Cl State of Maryland Talbot County To wit: I hereby certify that Sam.l Troth of Said County & State came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black man who calls himself Jacob Miller and who is about twenty years of age five feet four inches high dark complexion ws born free and raised in said County & State In Testimony &.a this 19.th May 1810 JLoockerman Cl State of Maryland Talbot County to wit: I hereby certify that Arther Rigby of the County & State afd came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black Man who calls himself Jesse & who is now about twenty two years of age 5 feet 9½ inches high dark complexion was born free & raised in the County & State afd In Testimony &c this 26th of March 1811 JLoockerman Cl |
