State of Maryland
Talbot County to wit
I hereby Certify that Thomas
Atkinson of the county and state afs.d came and proved
to my Satisfaction that the bearer hereof a dark molatto
woman who Calls herself Rozetta Smith who is now about
Eighteen years of age 5 feet 8¾ ^of an Inch^ high has the little finger
of her right hand crooked which she is
unable to straighten) was born free & raised
in the county of Talbot afs.d
                               In Testimony &.c this 25.th
                               day of April 1815

The State of Maryland
Talbot County to wit:
I hereby certify all persons whom it doth
or may concern that Thomas Jenkins of Talbot County
came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer a negro
woman by the name of Rachel 5 feet 4 Inches high
about twenty years of age with some scars or lumps
on her arms one on her left arm near the bend and three
on her right arm one one below the elbow the other
two above the said negro is of light or nutmeg colour
was raised in the County afs.d
                In Testimony &c this 1st day of June 1815
