Negro Josias Hall Maryland Harford County (To wit) I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof Negro Josias Hall twenty two years of a Short Square made five feet Six Inches high large Cheek bones wide mouth and thick lips not very black has a scar on his upper lip from the right nostril about two thirds across the upper lip and a scar upon the left side of his head about two and a half inches above his Ear a scar upon the upper part of his left arm about four inches below his Elbow and a scar upon the upper part of said arm nearly upon the shoulder joint became free in virtue of a manumission duly Executed by William Wilson on the first day of may 1804 and recorded in the Clerks office of Harford County Court In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the seal of Harford County Court this first day of December Eighteen hundred and twenty nine Henry Dorsey Clerk Identified by James S M.cComas Negro Isaac Smith Maryland Harford County Ss I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof Negro Isaac Smith who is about forty four Years of age five feet ten and a half inches high a bright mullatto with a scar on his fourth finger ^of the left hand^ occasioned by a felon of the left hand and on the same wrist a scar occasioned by the stroke of an axe became free in virtue of a manumission duly Executed by Aquila Hall on the 29.th day of July 1830 and recorded in the Clerks office of Harford County Court In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the seal of Harford County Court this 29.th day of July 1830 Henry Dorsey Clk Idendtified by Aquila Hall |
