Negro Solomon Maryland Harford County Sc.t I hereby certify that in virtue of a manumission Executed by Josias W. Dallam on the thirteenth day of March in the Year Seventeen hundred and Eighty Seven and recorded the tenth day of april in the Year Seventeen hundred and Eighty Seven in Liber J. L. G. N.o H folio 77 &c one of the Land Record books of Harford County Court that Sundry negroes therein named were to be free at certain periods therein Specified and all the children that might descend from said negroes were also to be free when they should Severally arive to the age of twenty three Years I hereby further certify that Lemon is one of the negroes so named in Said Manumission and that it is sufficiently identified to me by the probat of Philip R Dallam filed in my office that the bearer hereof Negro Solomon a Yellow man about the age of thirty two Years about five feet ten inches high has a scarr on his right hand back of the thumb something in the shape of the Letter D and one or two other small scarrs on the same hand and a small scarr on the upper lip running immediately from nose to mouth is the Child of the aforesaid negro Lemon so named as aforesaid in Said Manumission and that She was Entitled to his freedom when he arived to the age of twenty three Years In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the seal of said County Court this 12.th day of September Eighteen hundred and twenty nine Henry Dorsey Clk Identified by Philip R Dallam |
