                    Negro Jack Burley

Maryland Harford County to wit
          I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof
Negro Jack Burley aged about thirty years of a
yellowish complexion five feet two and a half
Inches high with a scarr on the inside of the left
leg just above the ankle joint occasioned by
an axe became free by Virtue of a Manumission
Executed by Elizabeth Barclay and recorded
in the office of the Clerk of Harford County Court
on the 15.th day of May 1827
                        In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
             set my hand and affixed my seal this 17.th day
             of February 1729         Henry Dorsey clk

Maryland Harford County (to wit)
          I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof
Negro David Thomas aged about twenty two
years five feet two inches high with a small
Scar on his upper lip and a Scar on the inside
of his left wrist was born free and raised in
Harford County
             In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
             set my hand and affixed the
             seal of my office the 13 day
             of March 1829
