Negro Rachel State of Maryland Harford County to wit I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Rachel two and an half inches high about forty six years of age of complexion has several scars on her breast left arm and arm became free on the first day of august Eighteen hundred and seven in virtue of a deed of manumission made by Criswell of said County on the 23rd day of May 1807 duly executed and recorded among the land records of Harford County Court the said negro Rachel was raised in said County Intestimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my office this twenty first day of april 1818 Henry Dorsey Clk Identified by Ja.s Criswell aff.t f.d Negro Jim State of Maryland Harford County Court I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Jim five feet five inches high about 26 years of age of a dark complexion large scar upon his breast a yellow spot upon his right thigh broad nose is square made became free on the 9.th day of May 1818 in virtue of a deed of manumission made by Thomas archer of said County and duly executed and recorded amongst the land records of Harford County Court The said negro Jim was raised in said County Intestimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my office this 26.th day of May 1818 the said negro Jim personally known to Benj.n Guyton who Henry Dorsey Clk granted the pass Negro Sam State of Maryland Harford County to wit I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro Sam about 23 years of age 5 feet 6½ inches high of a dark complexion has a scar just above the left temple and one on the left side of the neck one of the fore teeth of the upper jaw out has a broad nose and thick lips was born free and raised in Harford County In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my office this 2nd day of September 1818 Identified by Christopher Henry Dorsey Clk Wilson as p.r aff.t filed |
