                            Negro Ben Shaw

State of Maryland   Harford County to wit
             I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Ben Shaw
five feet eight and a quarter inches high about thirty three years
of age of a black complexion was born free the said
negro Ben has a scar below the calf of his right leg and another
on the right side of the same leg square made and markes
some little with the small pox in the face and was raised
in the county aforesaid   In testimony whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and affixed the seal of my office this nineteenth
day of October Eighteen hundred and Eleven

as per affidavit filed


                                   Negro George

State of Maryland  Harford County to wit
                      I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro George
five feet seven and a quarter inches high about thirty six years of
age of a black complexion became free on the twenty ninth day
of July seventeen hundred and seventy eight in virtue of a deed of
manumission made by Thomas Chew of said County and duly
executed and recorded  The said negro George has a scar near
the middle joint of the little finger on the left hand has another
above the right eye brow   another near the right temple and
another below his lower lip and one other on the left hand
near the thumb short flat nose and has several small marks
upon his face and was raised in the County aforesaid  In
testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
the seal of my office this twenty second day of October
Eighteen hundred and Eleven

                            Negro Solomon Wilson

State of Maryland  Harford County to wit
                I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro
Solomon ^Wilson^ five feet nine         inches high of a black complexion
