                                     my name and affix the Seal of Harford
                                     County Court this 7.th day of May 1840

                         Negro Thomas Prosser

State of Maryland Harford County Sc.t
                I hereby certify that Negro Thomas Prosser the bearer
hereof of very dark complexion aged about twenty eight
years six feet high with a scar on the upper joint of the right
thumb caused by a cut two scarz just above the left ankle
one inside and the other outside caused by burns and a
small scar in the left eye brow waz raised in Harford County
State of Maryland and became free by virtue of the last
will & testament of Thomaz ^Joseph^ Ford dated 7.th February 1807
and recorded in the Registers ^of wills^ office of Harford County
                   In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my
                   name and affix the Seal of Harford County Court
                   this 13.th day of August 1840

dark complexion aged about thirty years five feet five and a
half inches in height 2 scars on the right arm between
the wrist & Elbow and a small scar on her forehead waz raised
in Harford County State of Maryland and became free
by virtue of the last will & testament of William Coale
a Deed of manumission from William Coale
to sundry slavez
