                I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof ^negro Robert Alexander^ a
bright mulatto man forty one years of age sqare
made five feet Eight inches high has a scar on the
forehead immediately between the Eyes and a scar on
the left wrist became free in virtue of a Judgment
of Harford County Court passed at The August Term
Eighteen hundred and twenty three of said Court
in a cause there pendening wherein the said
Robert Armstrong filed in the said Court
a petition for freedom against Luke Griffith
Adm.r of Samuel Griffith as by the inspection
of the records of Harford County Court doth

             In Testimony whereof I have hereto subscribed
             my name and affixed the seal
             of Harford County Court this twenty second
             day of May Eighteen hundred and thirty two

Negro Sophia a light coloured black woman twenty
nine years of age five feet three and a half inches high
has a large scar on the throat becam free in virtue
of a Deed of Manumission Executed by George
Hill on the thirteenth day of December seventeen
hundred and ninety four to her mother Molly
and recorded among the land Records of
Harford County Court
                   In Testimony whereof I have
                   hereto subscribed my name and
                   affixed the seal of Harford County
                   Court this twenty second day
                   of May Eighteen hundred and
                   thirty two
