Maryland Harford County Ss
          I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro
James Stansbury about thirty years of age five feet
eight and a half inches high who has severall sall
scarrs on his face became free in virtue of a Deed of
Manumission duly executed by Mary Smithson the
ninth day of March Eighteen hundred and thirty two
and recorded among the land Records of Harford
County Court
                   In Testimony whereof I have hereto
                   subscribed my name and affixed
                   the seal of Harford County Court
                   this ninth day of March Eighteen
                   hundred and thirty two

on the twenty seventh day of October ^seventeen hundred and Eighty two^ and recorded
in Liber J L G N.o E Folio 293 one of the land record
books of Harford County Court
