95 freedom was free born and raised in this county and is now twenty two years of age Feby 21 1857 Hiram Brown Simon is five feet eleven inches high & has scar at the corner of the left eye of dark complexion Fled recorded & certificate issued Feby 21 1857 by J F Gordon clk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County I hereby certify that negroes Isaac Wilmer and Perry Scott who both present & applying for a certificate of freedom are the identical negroes mentioned in a deed of manumission executed by my father Josiah Massey on the first day of March 1826 to be free in thirty years from the first day of January 1857 (see Liber T W N.o 3 page 437 record book in the Clerks office) the said negroes are now about thirty one years of age March 9 1857 Chestertown Josiah Massey Pere is five feet eight & three quarter inches high dark complexion with scars on both legs occasioned by burns Isaac is five feet nine & one quarter inches high black complexion has a ^small^ scar on the left cheek Filed recorded & certificate issued March 9 1857 by J F Gordon clk To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County Md This is to certify that a negro woman now present called Kitty Wilson was free born and raised in Kent County and is now about thirty two years of age March 17 1857 George N Hines Kitty is four feet nine and three quarter inches high of a rather light complexion with a small scar on the back of her right hand Filed recorded & certificate issued March 17 1857 by J F Gordon clk |
