September 1822 by the name of Levi then about seven
years old to serve until the first day of January 1856
December 9 1856                     Ebenezer Welch
    Levi is five feet nine inches high of a dark complexion
with a scar under the right eye

           This is to certify that a negro man named William
Graves now present and applying for a certificate of
freedom was born free and raised in Kent County
and is now about forty years of age

Wm Graves is five feet nine & one quarter inches
high of a rather light complexion

       This is to certify that William Foreman now present
& applying for a certificate of freedom was free born
and raised in Kent County and is now about thirty
one years of age

William Foreman is of light complexion and has a
scar on his forehead & also a scar the left side his
face near his mouth and is five feet eleven and
one half inches high

          This is to certify that Charles Blake now present
and applying for a certificate of freedom was free
