To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County
          This is to certify that Charlotte Jackson who is now
present & applying for a certificate of freedom was free
born and raised in Kent County and is now about
thirty four years of age

Charlotte five feet two and one half inches high light
complexion

To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County
       This is to certify that negro Mahaley Willis who is now
present and applying for a certificate of freedom is the
identical person mentioned in a deed of manumission
executed by Geo Q Thomas Extor of Wm Thomas dated the
2d January 1828      to be freed on the 1st day of January 1852
    Sep 16 1856                                             Geo W T Perkins
       Mahaley is five feet one inch high black complexion
small scar on the little finger of the left hand & also
a scar on the left arm above the elbow
