          This is to certify that a negro woman now present named
Sarah is the identical negro woman manumitted by George
W Thomas Executor of William Thomas by manumission dated
January 3d 1828 and recorded in Liber J W N.o 4 page 845 &c
to be free on the first day of January 1852

Sarah is five feet four inches high of a dark complexion

    This is to certify that Martha Ann Dornan who is now present
& applying for a certificate of freedom was free born and
raised in Kent County and is about eighteen years of age
of very light complexion
