    I hereby Certify that a Negro man now present
and applying for a Certificate of freedom named
Samuel Butler was born free and raised in Kent
County and is now 21 years old
                                                       A W Sparks
    March 30th 1860
          Samuel Butler is 5 feet 4½ inches high of dark
complexion with scar near right eye

Lavinia Butler was born free and raised in Kent
