    To the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County
This is to Certify that a Negro Woman now present
and applying for a Certificate of freedom named
Sarah Cotton was born free and raised in Kent
County and is now about 21 years old
       July 29th 1859                     N F Hynson
Sarah is 5 ft 2 inches high of dark complexion with
scar on left hand
Filed recorded & Certificate issued July 29th 1859

Peaker was born free and raised in Kent County and
is now about 21 years old
    July 30th 1859                              Jervis Spencer
    W.m is 5 feet 7½ inches of a dark complexion with
a scar on left cheek the second finger on left hand
bent in first joint

Augt 25 1859                                 Jos Usilton
Van is 5 ft 6½ in tall dark brown complexion
with a small scar on his right Cheek and aged
about 23 years
