       This is to certify that negro Araminta Jones now
present and applying for a certificate of freedom was
free born and raised in Kent County Md and is now
about seventeen or eighteen years of age
August 29 1857                           John Greenwood
       Araminta or Minty Jones is four feet eleven inches
high black complexion has a small scar on the
back of the right hand from a burn

       This is to certify that a negro woman now present
called Nancy Ann Holmes (who is the daughter of
James Butler of Worton) was born free and raised in
Kent County and is now about thirty six years of age
Sept 3d 1857                              James Graves
    Nancy Ann is five feet six inches high dark complexion
scar on the left side of the neck from a burn
