259 Approved did make and draw his certain first Bill of Exchange in writing bearing date the same day and year and the first Bill of Exchange in with his proper name and hand then and there did Subscribe and that Bill unto a certain M.r Charles Rogers merch.t in London then and yet negotiateing and Commerce useing (to witt) at London in Somerset County aforesaid did direct and by the same Bill of Exchange did require the same Charles Rogers at thirty days sight of that his said first Bill of Exchange his second and third Bill of Exchange of the same tenor and date not being paid to pay unto the aforesaid William Camplin (by the name of Capt William Camplin) the same William Camplin then and there negotiateing and Commerce using (to witt) at Somerset County aforesaid) or order twenty seven pounds and sixteen shillings sterling for value receiv'd and place it to account of him the said William Kitchen and afterwards (to witt) on the thirtieth day of december in the same year of our Lord Seventeen hundred thirty and five at London aforesaid in Somerset County aforesaid the aforesaid first Bill of Exchange unto the aforesaid Charles Rogers was Exhibited and shewn and the same Charles Rogers then and there was required to accept the said first Bill of Exchange According to the use and Custom of merchants from all the time aforesaid used and approved and make payment of the aforesaid twenty seven pounds sixteen shillings unto the aforesaid William Camplin according to the form and Effect of the said Bill the aforesaid Charles Rogers before that time there thirty days sight of the said first Bill of Exchange and the said second and third Bills of Exchange of the same tenor and date or either of them then or yet not being accepted or paid But the same Charles Rogers the aforesaid first bill of Exchange then or yet did not accept off but the same to accept off then and there did refuse and the aforesaid twenty seven pounds and sixteen shillings sterling in the said first Bill of Exchange specified unto the same William Camplin according to the form of the said first Bill of Exchange hath not paid by reason whereof the same first Bill of Exchange then and there according to the use and Custom of Merchants in that part for all the time aforesaid had and approved in due form of writing was Protested for want of acceptance of the same first Bill of Exchange and payment of the same twenty seven pounds and sixteen shillings sterling in the same first Bill of Exchange specified of all which said premises the said William Camplin afterwards (to witt) the thirtieth day of May in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred thirty and six at Somerset County aforesaid unto the (aforesaid |
