    August Court            1724                         40

    granted he giving good Security to Comply with the act of assembly in Such Case made
    and provided &c            Whereupon the said Angello Atkinson together with Thomas
    Gray and Teaque Riggin his securitys all present here in Court in their proper
    Persons acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship
    the Lord proprietary of the provinces of Maryland in the Sum of twenty
pounds Sterling to be Levied upon sundry ^their^ goods or Chattells Lands or tenements
Joyntly and Severally for the Use of the said Lord proprietary in Case the afd
Angello Adkinson should fail in the Condition hereunder written

The Condition of the above Recognizance is such that if the above Bounden Angello
Atkinson shall ^doe not^ Entertain any free or Loos person in his house above twenty four hours (Court
times Excepted) unless such person be so Entertained by him be Capable to give his vote for
a delegate in the said County or that he be retained as a servant to the said Angello or doe
not Entertain any Other person whatsoever that shall be noted to him as a Common
tippler by the Justices of the said County Court and do not Pay unto his said Lordship the
sum of five hundred pounds of tobacco Yearly and Every Year he shall keep ordinary
or hous of Entertainment and do not in every respect Comply with the act of assembly
Entituled an act for the better Regulating of Ordinary Keepers and in holders within this province
&c                                                                                                      Then this recogn to be
void &.c otherwise &c


            Pursuant to an act of assembly of this province Now in force Entituled an act
       for Regulating of ordinarys &c the Justices of his Lordship's County Court of Somersett doe assess
       and rate the Severall articles of Lyquors and Accomodations as follows vizt
       Rum and Country Brandy ready pay p gallon £12/1         8/ or 96 if trusted 12/or  144
       Cyder and quince Drink                   p gallon                  10d or 10              14d   or 14
      white wine Claratt and Port p the Bottle
      Canary wine and Sherry      p Bottle

      Rennish Wine    p Bottle
      Strong Bear    p Bottle
