Plunkett Knowing the beasts afd to be the proper Beasts of the afd William Nocks as adm.r of
the goods and Chattells of the afd John Nocks and to him the said William Nocks as admr of
the goods and Chattells of the said John Nocks of right to belong and appertain yett the said Rich.d
plotting and fraudulently Intending the afd William in that part to defraud and deceive the
said Richard the Beasts afd unto him the said William altho' the same Richard afterwards
(that is to say the tenth day of may one thousand seven hundred and twenty three at the parish
of Somersett afd within the afd Jurisdiction) was thereunto requested hath not delivered but the
same Richard the beasts afd afterwards that is to say the tenth day of June one thousand
seven hundred and twenty three at the parish afd within the afd Jurisdiction did Convect and
dispose of to his own proper use whereby the said William says he is the worse and hath
damage to the value of fifty pounds Curr.t mony of maryland and thereof he Brings this suite &c
and the said William Brings here into Court the Letters of administration &c by which &c

And the said Richard Plunkett by Francis Allen his attorney Comes and defends the force & Injury
when &c and prays Leave to Imparl hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it & ye same day is
given to ye plft also         Att which said next Court to witt the Ninteenth day of November ann
Dom one one thousand seven hundred and twenty three Come again the said Partys by their
attorneys afd and the said deft by his said attorney prays further Leave to Imparle hereunto
untill the next Court and he hath it and the same day is given to the plft also
    Att which said next Court to witt the seventeenth day of March ann Dom One thousand seven
hundred & twenty three Come againe the same partyes by their attorneys afd and the said deft
by his said attorney as before defends the force and Injury when &c and saith that he f the premisses
above upon him Imposed is no wise guilty as the afd plft above against him Complaines
and of this he puts himselfe upon the Country &c     F Allen P Defte
                      And ye plft in Like manner      L Gale P Quer
Thereupon Command is given to the sherr of Somersett County that Immediatly he Cause to Come here
twelve &c by whom &c who neither &c to recognize &c because as well &c of which said preceipt the
said sherr to witt Joseph MccClester Gentl Now hereat this day to witt the same day and year Last
mentioned makes return that he has here ready twelve &c as by his preceipt he was Commanded and
Now hereafterwards to witt the same day & year Come as well the said plft as the said deft by
their attorneys afd and the Jurors of that Jury Impannelled being Called Came to witt Thomas Peele
John Dennis Sen John White Marumcsco, William Holland, Isaac Williams John Beavins, William
Bratton, Davis Hazard John Patrick Jun Adam Spence Sen Edmond Hough William Mills who
being duely Elected tryed & sworn to say the truth in the premisses upon their Oath do say that Richard
Plunkett is not guilty of the premisses above Imposed upon him as the plft above hath Complained
          Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the same day & year Last mentioned that the said
William Nock's administrator of the same John Nock's take Nothing by by his writt & decl.n afd but
be in Mercy for his falce Clamour and that the said Richard Plunkett goe thereof without day &c
