the said Edmond the thirtieth day of November ann.o Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty two at the
parish and County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court was Indebted unto the said Robert in One thousand
and sixty pounds of tobacco for Levies Sherr Fees and forbarance thereupon to the said Robert then &
there due Owing and unpaid as by an account thereof hereunto annexed may in Court appear and being so
thereof Indebted the said Edmond in Consideration thereof afterwards to witt the same day and year afd at the place
afd in Consideration thereof upon himselfe did assume and to the said robert then and there faithfully ^did^ promise that
he the said Edmond the afd One thousand and sixty pounds of tobacco to the said Robert when he should be
afterwards thereunto requested he would well and faithfully pay and Content and altho' the said Edmond One
hundred and Eighty six pounds of tobacco P cell of the afd One thousand and sixty pounds of tobacco to the
said Robert he hath paid and satisfied as yett to Eight hundred seventy and four pounds of tobacco to the
of the afd One thousand and sixty pounds of tobacco the said Edmond his promise and assumption afd in
form afd made Little regarding but plotting and fraudulently Intending the said Robert in that part Craftilly
and Subtilly to deceive and defraud the afd Eight hundred and seventy four pounds of tobacco to
the said Robert he hath not paid or to him for the same in any Wise Contented altho' the same to doe ye
said Robert on ye first day of December in the year afd and often afterwards at the parish and County
afd within the Jurisdiction afd he was thereunto requested but the same to him to pay or in any wise to
Content hath refused and still doth refuse and deny whereupon the said robert saith he is worse and
hath damage to the value of One thousand seven hundred forty and Eight pounds of tobacco and thereupon

                   And the said George Edmond Huggin by George Dashiell his attorney Comes and defends the force and
Injury when &.c and says that he Cannot Gainsay prays Leave to Imparle here unto untill the next Court and
he hath it and the same day is Given to the plft also
Att which said next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of the June Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred
and twenty three Comes againe as well the said plft as the said deft by their attorneys afd and the said deft
by his said attorney prays further Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and the same
day is given to the plft also
                                                    Att which said next Court to witt the twentieth day of August anno Dom
One thousand seven hundred and twenty three Comes again as well the said plft as the said deft by their
attorneys aforesaid and the said deft by his said attorney as before defends the force and Injury when &.c
and saith that he did      assume upon himselfe in manner and form as the Plft against him hath
